Great site Steve! Some very helpful info here and thanks. How was LotusSphere? As an old IBM employee, I made it to LSphere several years ago and it was quite nice.
Quick question. Is it possible to migrate only certain selected documents from a Notes Database using the Notes migrator for Sharepoint Designer? I don’t see any option for that in Designer.
Lotusphere was great fun. I was especially impressed by where IBM Connections has gotten to since I last looked. It actually helped me understand what the new “social” features in SharePoint (which have not been my main focus historically) are all about. It will be interesting to see how these two leaders evolve over the next few years.
For your tech question: you can select documents by several means (including writing a Notes formula). Go to the Source data definition (on the Notes tab) and look at various options on the Selection tab.
Great, thanks, I’ll look there. We have a trial of the product going so I’m still feeling my way around the product, which seems great so far. Just need to talk to the powers that be into forking over the $ to buy!
..And interesting about Lotus Connections. I kinda wondered what IBMs push would be in now that Notes/Domino’s days more or less past. Sharepoint has come a long way and the interest seems to be skyrocketing.
