Notes Migration Footage, Part 4: Migrating Notes Team Rooms to SharePoint using Notes Migrator for SharePoint 4.x

This video comes from Quest Sales Consultant Tim Fountain.  It shows how to use the current version of Notes Migrator for SharePoint to migrate a Notes database that is based on the standard "Team Room" template from Lotus.

As Tim explains, a Team Room actually contains a number of different types of data (Documents, Discussion threads, Tasks, Meetings, etc.) all packed into a single database.  When migrating this to SharePoint, people usually want to break this into separate SharePoint lists:  a Document Library, a Discussion List, a Task list, an Events list, etc.  Today, this basically amounts to running multiple migration jobs for each Team Room.  Tim walks through the best practices for dealing with this using our current tool and using our "TeamRoom Migration Assistant" for automating that somewhat tedious process.

NOTE:  In an upcoming post, I will show you a preview of how we can do an even better job of automating this on a grand scale using Notes Migrator for SharePoint 5.0.
