Hi Steve. I am using the NMSP tool to migrate from Lotus Notes to Sharepoint. When I create the migration job and select the fields I want somehow a few of those fields can't be viewed in SharePoint. I tried to modify the view but the fields were missing. Also on another database I tried to run a migration job but I keep getting the error "Truncated" and its not bringing over some data. What should I do?

We can migrate TO multiple folders in one migration job. You just map whatever data item to want to a Folder column and that becomes the new folder name in SharePoint. The folders get created automatically.

We many people want to do is to extract the old Notes folder names and use that as the basis for assigning folder names in SharePoint. This is hard for two reasons:
(1). Most Notes Documents do not store the old folder names as data items. If you are a clever Notes developer, you may find a way to do that, perhaps by writing some LotusScript to preproces the documents. More on that in a future post.
(2). In Notes, one document can be in multiple folders but not in SharePoint. So you may need to think though how you want to resolve that.

Nice post steve.
Is it possible to migrate LN folder with all of its subfolders with a single Quest job? If there is a folder with 100 subfolders, at around 1000 documents all together, then is it necessary to run 100 jobs or does Quest provides a way to migrate all the subfolders using a single job?

Hi Steve, We are a large pharmaceuticals company using LNMSP for a large migration project. Recently, we discovered that we can migrate more than 5000 items at a time into SP due to the list view threshold. However, it looks like we will not be able to get this changed due to company policy. Is there any way to migrate records in batches of less than 5000?

Thanks a lot Steve. Our team your blog as a startup guide for our migration project. But still we have some queries which have not been addressed from your blog posts. Currently we are using Quest's version 5.3. And having few questions about it. May I know the place(any forum or email address) where we can discuss about this? It will be very helpful for us if some issues with quest will resolve.

Thanks,
Pratima.
